I have worked in the human services field for the past twenty years completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of Michigan and Master of Arts in Community Counseling at the University of Detroit-Mercy. I have been providing talk therapy for adults and couples for the past fourteen years.
A natural visionary and nurturer, I have learned that most important element in healing and change is relationship. As such, you can expect to experience an inclusive space, free of judgment and full of hope, patience and compassion. I am trauma informed and anti-oppressive, encouraging action as the antidote to fear.
I am an eclectic therapist leaning toward Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Mindfulness. I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Brainspotting and Somatic Attachment Therapy. I have completed specialty trainings for Autistic Affirming Therapy, Trauma of Money and Gottman Level 1. I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Clinical Supervisor.
I work with people identifying as high achievers who are struggling with: executive functioning challenges, late diagnosed autism and/or ADHD, menopause/perimenopause high functioning anxiety, perfectionism, low self esteem and attachment related issues. I believe that we all have our own answers. I endeavor to help you discover those answers while providing support, encouragement and strategies that promote self-awareness, healing and change.
