For many of us, falling into familiar roles has been an effective way to manage life and relationships.  Until it isn’t.

I work with adults who find themselves over-identified with the roles of problem solvers and people pleasers.  If you think this may be you, consider the following questions:

  • Do you find yourself frequently foregoing your own needs to care for others? Does it seem that your thoughts and feelings are often dismissed by the people who matter most to you?
  • Do you find yourself wishing for the same care and concern you easily extend to others?
  • Do you find yourself feeling guilty or having the thought of being a “bad” person if you say no or decline help to someone in need?
  • Do you find it hard to ask for or accept help?

YES to any of these questions AND a desire for change have likely led you to keep reading. And since I have your attention, I want you to know that you are valuable. You matter. You are deserving of care and concern. These are just a few of the things you may also discover in therapy.  My aim is to not only help you come into your own but to help you find a way to live on your own terms, answering to your own voice and not the expectations of others.

I am a temporary limited license psychologist with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy, and I’m currently pursuing a Doctorate of Psychology.  I work with adults and couples who are navigating the challenges of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, trauma, and life transitions.

My therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which is tailored to meet each person’s unique needs. I offer virtual and in-person sessions to provide flexibility and ensure you have access to the care you need.
My goal is to foster curiosity and empowerment, helping you navigate life’s complexities and develop tools to thrive.I am committed to fostering a space where you can truly show up for yourself – a space that is neutral, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, build applicable skills, and work through life’s challenges using evidence-based practices.
