Kaleb Booker

Summer Intern
Kaleb Booker, Intern

Kaleb Booker is a rising junior undergraduate psychology student at Alabama A & M University with a strong passion for supporting the mental and emotional well-being of youth—especially young male athletes. As a summer psychology intern at Introspective Counseling, he will be learning and assisting with essential administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and insurance verification. Beyond these duties, he plans spearhead and co-lead the development of a wellness group designed to support teen boys in exploring mental health, identity, and the pressures of growing up in today’s world.

With a background in working with kids and teens, Kaleb brings both experience and energy to his role. He spends summers working as a camp counselor and is known for his ability to connect with youth through empathy, humor, and shared interests. A dedicated athlete himself, he is an avid basketball player with a disciplined workout routine and a deep understanding of the challenges student-athletes face—whether it’s managing academic stress, navigating performance pressure, or balancing the expectations of coaches, family, and peers.

Kaleb is particularly passionate about creating safe spaces for young Black boys to open up, feel seen, and develop emotional resilience. He plans to pursue a career focused on sports therapy and youth mental health, with a commitment to helping young men grow into emotionally strong and self-aware adults.
