I have worked in the human services field for the past 20 years completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of Michigan and Master of Arts in Community Counseling at the University of Detroit-Mercy. I have been providing talk therapy for adults and couples for the past twelve years.
A natural visionary and nurturer, I have learned that most important element in healing and change is relationship. As such, you can expect to experience an inclusive space, free of judgment and full of hope, patience and compassion. I am trauma informed and anti-oppressive, encouraging action as the antidote to fear.
I am an eclectic therapist leaning toward Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Mindfulness. I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Brainspotting (Phase 2) and completed a certificate training in Somatic Attachment Therapy. I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Clinical Supervisor. I am currently working toward completion of Brainspotting and Trauma of Money certifications. I have completed Level 1 Gottman training for couples therapy.
I offer virtual/video and in-person sessions for: emotional exhaustion, work-life disharmony, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, infidelity, trauma and life transitions. My specialties include: high functioning anxiety, perfectionism, low self esteem and attachment related issues. I believe that we all have our own answers. I endeavor to help you discover those answers while providing support, encouragement and strategies that promote self-awareness, healing and change.
Our practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families, and through years of experience, we are confident that no problem is too great to overcome.
