Michigan Limited Licensed Counselor

You’ve got it all together on the outside but on the inside you’re a wreck. You’ve checked all the boxes and found that adulting is not all it’s cracked up to be.  The hustle and bustle of work has taken over your life.  Your friends seem to be moving on and you feel left behind. Racing thoughts keep you up and fatigue and decreased motivation keep you from doing all of the things.  Maybe you’re not as optimistic about your future and you’re feeling trapped but most of all, too scared to admit it.

You often find yourself thinking:  this can’t be IT.  You’re right, because this IT is not yours. Let me help you discover your  IT.

I struggled with finding my own IT and it was not easy.  I can tell you that learning to walk in your authenticity after years of living up to others’ expectations is a journey best travelled with a objective, empathetic and caring partner.

I passionately help young adults brave the new space of adulthood by supporting them in uncovering their sense of purpose and belonging in the world. Eventually, you’ll see that you’ve had the answers all along.  My role is to help you discover those answers while cultivating your strengths, building your self-awareness and developing the tools that best help you become the change you seek.

I have expertise in treating: depression, anxiety, stress and burnout, and life transitions.  I am an eclectic therapist and use a variety of modalities to personalize treatment.  I lean toward Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, Family Systems and Strength Focused approaches.  I received my Masters of Science in Clinical Counseling from Alabama State University and and am currently in the development plan phase to become a  Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. My experiences as a college counselor and a crisis and substance abuse counselor have prepared me to build the strong therapeutic alliance necessary for change.
