I am a genuine and compassionate counselor who believes in an approach to care that is personalized and specific to the needs of each individual. I work with clients to generate care plans that identify and meet their needs and uses evidenced based practices to help you work toward achieving your goals. I am committed to providing a safe, calming, judgement-free setting to help clients work toward overcoming symptoms of mental and behavioral health.
Life comes with its fair share of challenges that affect our lives and the lives of those around us. 1 in 5 of us live with a mental illness and many of us will experience anxiety or depression connected to life transitions at least once in our lives.
I am an eclectic therapist but lean toward Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strength Based Approaches to help develop awareness and coping strategies for stress and interpersonal struggles. It is my belief that is is important to go beyond symptom relief to help improve your life satisfaction, relationships and goal achievement is key to balance and wellness. Therapy can help.
I graduated from Wayne State University with a Masters of Education in Counseling. I specialize in in working with people who have or are experiencing: trauma, anxiety, stress, depression including remnants of emotional/physical abuse and neglect. My experience also includes working with family systems, relationship-based challenges including victims of domestic violence and individuals suffering with addiction challenges.
